Matthew Giannetta

Matthew Giannetta attended Central Catholic High School all four years and participated on the frisbee team and was in the Jazz band.  Matthew will attend Duquesne University and plans to study Computer Science.

He said he wants to participate in a basketball intramural and possibly join clubs.  He plans to use the weight room at Duquesne and play with his friends on the basketball court.

He hopes to find a well-paying job after he graduates and wants to achieve a high position in a company.  Eventually, he hopes to donate back to Central Catholic one day.

Matthew wants to move out of state to find a job after college and wants to own many muscle cars.  Matt said, “there are too many memories to recall  from central but I have some favorites.”

Some of Matt’s favorite memories include spending time with his older brother during freshman and sophomore year and messing around with him.  He also enjoyed his lunch tables throughout the years.  His all-time favorite memories are starting the clapping in the auditorium, yelling at underclassmen in the quad to keep walking and stay off the bricks, and also not having to walk the quad.

Matt has a lot of advice that he would give to incoming freshmen and outgoing seniors.  For the freshmen, he said, “you should try and make as many friends as possible and attend things like the football games, dances, and go out with your friends so you can enjoy your time as a teenager.  You should also strive to achieve good grades and don’t fall back on your studies.  For the outgoing seniors, I’d say don’t take your time for granted because you won’t have the same friends in college and work hard in college or whatever you choose to do after high school.”
