Central Catholic Hockey gets new jerseys for the first time in many years. They even have the player’s last names, and the school is promising new helmets as well.
Central has always had hand-me-down jerseys that were stitched, heavy, and one-size-fits-all. The jerseys will be non-stitched, and the lighter and more breathable jerseys has been the talk of the town for about three weeks now.
I interviewed some of the hockey players including Dante Albanese, Aaron daily, and one of our smaller players Jeff stipedic. While talking to some of the players, Aaron Daly was just talking about how excited they were to get the new jerseys and how cool they are. Dante Albanese is happy to be able to move around and be in a more flexible and breath able jersey. But Jeff Stipedic had a different view on them: Jeff was very excited to get a jersey that will fit him correctly and not be three sizes too big., as the last set of jerseys was one-size-fits-all. Jeff is one of our smaller players on the team this year standing at 5’3.
Central will also be getting blue helmets and white horns to match the football team which the helmets are funded by the school.
Now, the question is, will JV also receive new jerseys?
