The Back Up Battle

The Central Catholic Football team has two back up quarterbacks. What most people may not know is the unique situation that these go through. What makes Eddie Pferdehirt and Taylor Bocka’s situations unique is that they both serve as the backup quarterback to Troy Fisher. Their attitudes off and on the field help make this team great They teach one another about how a play or how a situation could work better. They help their teammates learn from their opponents mistakes and help the team adjust. Taylor and Eddie are two of the best teammates that a player could have.

Eddie Pferdehirt and Taylor Bocka play for the varsity football team. Who are highly skilled at their position. They play with heart and dedication. When Coach Totten calls upon one of them, they get the job done.

Eddie Pferdehirt has spent all of his 4 years of high school here. He was glad to share in his family’s legacy and he hopes for the same with his future sons. Eddie plans on going to West Virginia university for engineering. The biggest memory that will stick with Eddie forever is when the team won WPIALs in his junior year, and also going undefeated that year.

Taylor was a junior transfer from shalor and doesn’t regret his decision. Just like Eddie, football is his favorite sport. Taylor’s favorite memory with football is when he started for the Vikings against Altoona they won the game (62-0). Taylor is thinking about attending Kentucky, or Costal Carolina majoring in therapy (occupational therapy).
